Theresa A. Sutherland has been with the firm since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School. Ms. Sutherland was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2009 and admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2018. She is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in both Louisiana and Mississippi.
Ms. Sutherland is experienced in hurricane litigation and other first-party claims, both in the residential and commercial sectors, arising from weather and loss events. She has significant experience in bad-faith cases and those involving extra-contractual insurance claims.
Ms. Sutherland represents liability insurers and the businesses they insure throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Her practice is focused in the areas of personal injury and property damage litigation, including premises and professional liability. Ms. Sutherland also has an active appellate practice, including complex litigation and insurance matters.
