Ethan N. Penn

Mr. Penn has been practicing in the areas of insurance defense and casualty litigation since 1996. His practice includes personal injury and property damage defense, as well as significant insurance coverage work. Since Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Penn has done significant work in construction litigation, on behalf of insurers and the contractors and artisans they insure. He has experience in offshore injury and damage cases, fire losses, and business interruption claims. He has defended electrical product and automobile product manufacturers as well.

Mr. Penn has also defended errors and omissions and professional liability claims on behalf of such clients as architects, hospital management companies, employee-benefits consultants and real estate professionals. He provides ongoing counsel to insurers (both first- and third-party), insurance brokers and insurance agents.

Mr. Penn is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. He has received the “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell peer-review system, which is the highest rating available for an attorney for both practice and ethics.
