Brent J. Carbo

Mr. Carbo, a partner with the firm, has been with the firm since 2006. A native of Lake Charles, Brent is a lifelong south Louisiana resident and graduate of Louisiana State University College of Law. He is licensed to practice before Federal and State Courts in Louisiana and Mississippi.

He is skilled and experienced in evaluating and litigating insurance coverage matters including property and casualty, general liability, professional liability, motor truck cargo and others.

He has considerable experience defending first-party insurance claims, including residential and commercial claims, arising out of hurricanes and other named storms, hail events, fire losses and other property damage claims. He has worked closely with claims professionals, adjusters and experts on disputes over insurance coverage, property damage scope and pricing, valuation, business losses, and bad faith claims, and advises insurers in claims handling as well as litigation phases.  

In addition, Mr. Carbo works extensively in the areas of construction defect liability and insurance coverage, representing the interests of both insurers as well as the construction professionals they insure. He also works on behalf of construction industry professionals and trades in contract disputes including collection efforts and the pursuit of unpaid work, from lien through litigation.
